We’re looking for a Temporary Fulfillment Agent (3-Month Contract) to join our dynamic team in our Sandton office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of a high-growth technology company during a critical period.
Please note: The role requires the ability to lift and handle heavy appliances and equipment regularly.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing:
- Receive and review customer orders through our e-commerce platform.
- Verify product availability, pricing, and shipping details.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently using our order management system.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and update stock records as needed.
- Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to replenish stock as necessary.
Picking and Packing:
- Retrieve products from designated storage areas based on order requirements.
- Pack orders securely and accurately, ensuring products are properly labeled for shipping.
- Organize packed orders for pickup or shipment according to shipping deadlines.
Quality Control:
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Identify damaged or defective items and take appropriate action.
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all fulfillment processes.
Shipping and Logistics:
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation for outgoing orders.
- Track shipments and update customers on order status as needed.
Customer Service:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping updates, and product availability.
- Resolve issues related to order fulfillment in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, or logistics preferred.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and order management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using productivity software and inventory management tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, ZenDesk, Atlassian, and Google G-Suite.
Contract Details
- Duration: 3 months (temporary contract).
- Location: Sandton office.
- Hours: Flexible, with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
