Just a quick update on my previous review below, I’m happy to say that Tumelo Mudau assisted me like no one ever did, he made effort to call me and listen to my story and after compiling the full statement he then went to the payments department to sort the mess out, I’m happy to say that everything was done as I had requested and he even sent me the certificate of ownership for my device immediately, I wish the could be more consultants like him who put the client first and actually takes time to listen and shows empathy.

This is so frustrating I’ve been trying to have my problem solved and when I make a follow up I keep getting a new agent and I have to re explain my query from start again, I feel like I’m losing my mind.
I completed my 12-month subscription with Rentoza in November 2024 and requested that we proceed with the buyout arrangement for the device. I was assured by Zintle Mabongo that the necessary steps would be taken and buyout documents will sent to me but unfortunately, nothing has happened, and no buyout documents where sent,
Additionally, I sent a reminder email asking if the buyout price had been adjusted, and I was informed by Rhai Carvalho that my query was being escalated to the relevant department. However, no one has followed up with me, and the normal subscription payments continued to be deducted from my account without any changes being made to the buyout process.
I’ve been making monthly payments, and to date, I’ve paid the majority of the buyout price, which was set at R7,930. The balance left is now R1,730 and I was told that the amount I paid will not be allocated to my buyout amount.
After explaining everything and sending my proof to Roche he said he has escalated this query to management, I then received an email with a link to pay a buyout price of R3280, when I explained that it has to be R1730, it was back to square one, Natalia Alves was saying things I don’t want to hear,
Saying that I need to pay the R7,930, I can’t keep explaining the same thing to different agents over and over, I feel like I’m losing my mind, your team incompetence won’t cost me this much, I wont allow it to happen. Stop playing with peoples emotions and money please, I need this to be sorted out.

I began by having a bad experience on my first order with Rentoza, I decided to keep the device for few days and upgraded hoping for a better experience and new device and that exactly what happened, I’m happy with my upgrade it came new. I want to add another device subscription but I am hesitant because of the Possibilities of receiving a device that is in an old box and not sealed even like how new phones supposed to be. The price is quite high and so I feel since there’s no guarantee of getting a new phone (what Rentoza told me) I should just continue with the current subscription I have and not put myself in a situation where I will be coming here to give 1star review.
It’s unfortunate that you will have both bad and good experience when dealing with them. For flexibility and easy upgrade I’m giving them a 4 star.
