The Role
The Regional Operations Team Leader will play a crucial role in optimising daily operations across Rentoza's Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal offices. This key leadership position demands a highly organised and motivated individual with experience managing diverse operational functions within a fast-paced environment.
The Team Leader will lead and motivate teams across fulfilment, circular flow, logistics (recoveries and deliveries), facilities, and Rentoza Protect, ensuring seamless processes, cost-efficiency, and continuous improvement in both regions.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
Fulfilment:
- Oversee day-to-day operations in the fulfilment centre, ensuring accurate and timely order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Implement strategies to optimise warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Manage inventory levels and maintain quality control standards.
- Collaborate with the Procurement department to ensure timely availability of required products.
Circular Flow:
- Manage the refurbishment process for returned products, maximising efficiency and quality control.
- Oversee repackaging and redistribution of refurbished products back to the subscriber base.
- Track and analyse circular flow data to identify areas for improvement and optimise resource utilisation.
- Drive customer satisfaction with refurbished products and promote the circular economy model.
Logistics (Recoveries and Deliveries):
- Lead the regional recovery team in repossessing devices from defaulting subscribers, managing cancellations, upgrades, and downgrades.
- Oversee delivery operations, ensuring on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
- Optimise delivery routes and schedules for cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Rentoza Protect departments to ensure seamless logistics integration.
Facilities Management:
- Responsible for managing and maintaining offices in both Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment for employees.
- Implement cost-saving strategies for utilities, office supplies, and maintenance.
- Oversee security protocols and emergency procedures.
Rentoza Protect:
- Support Rentoza Protect team in promoting the program to customers in the regions.
- Assist with claims processing and ensuring efficient resolution for customers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction with Rentoza Protect and provide feedback for improvement.
Overall Regional Operations:
- Develop and implement operational plans and strategies for both regions, aligned with overall company goals.
- Lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering collaboration and communication across departments.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all functions and ensure continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimising multi-faceted operations.
- Experience in a multi-site environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of circular economy principles and sustainable business practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions to operational challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Experience working with technology solutions to streamline operational processes.
- Ability to travel between Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal regularly.
