Challenge
We are looking for an Insurance Agent to join our dynamic team and help deliver a world class digital customer experience within the verifications team for our rapidly growing subscriber base. This role is for an ambitious and highly motivated individual seeking the rare opportunity to help scale a high growth technology company, across multiple verticals.
The Role:
We are looking for an Insurance Agent to assist our Insurance team in helping deliver a world class customer experience for our rapidly growing subscriber base.
The Insurance Agent will be responsible for liaising with clients and effectively addressing their concerns and enquiries (escalating if necessary), processing the claims we receive and sending them to our insurer, adopting our policies and assisting in the development of these, as well as any other ad hoc duties within our scope of work that may arise in order for us to achieve our goals.
The role will entail maintaining relationships with our existing clients, suppliers/manufacturers and fostering relationships with new clients while preserving the relationship with our insurer(s) (and associated parties). All this requires attention to detail as well as interpersonal skills to ensure that claims are managed from customers to the relevant third parties in an efficient manner.
In this role you will be communicating with clients, suppliers, manufacturers, insurers (and other relevant 3rd parties) through various mediums, all depending on what that specific duty requires. This is essential in maintaining efficiency and customer satisfaction, while also fostering great working relationships with our suppliers and insurers.

Output:
- Manage daily correspondence with clients on our various platforms. This correspondence can range from client enquiries about the insurance process to updates on the progress of their claims and everything in between.
- Learn and adopt our processes and policies in order to best serve Rentoza and ensure efficiency and a good flow of communication within the company
- Assist in achieving maximum customer satisfaction in accordance with organizational plans
- Maintain responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory, regulations, professional standards, responsibilities and obligations and insert as applicable
- Avail yourself for any ad hoc duties within the scope of our work that may be required as we develop new policies and systems
- Utilize systems to manage insurance functions, analysis and documentation
- Liaise with all other departments about insurance related matters as needed
- Manage and maintain contact with internal and external clients/customers, suppliers, manufacturers and insurers.
- Maintain accurate records to feed into daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- BCom in Insurance & Risk Management (or related qualification)
- Minimum of 2 Years Experience in the Insurance Industry
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, Atlassian
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and planning skills
- Interpersonal skills (I.e. communication, ability to handle conflict, independence and time management)
- Desire to learn, adapt, grow and think "outside the box"
