The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations Manager to join our dynamic Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Processing and Management:
- Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Procurement and Supplier Management:
- Aid in procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Develop and assist in a procurement forecasting model for all ins and outs of new and circular flow stock.
- Develop sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of goods and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Utilise tools such as Xero and QuickBooks for procurement processing.
- Develop and manage all procurement sourcing strategies applicable to international orders and FX management.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial operational reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to automate financial processes where possible.
- Streamline financial workflows and implement best practices.
Support and Collaboration:
- Provide financial support and guidance to other departments as needed.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices.
- Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on financial processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within operations.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
